Research association for the improvement of sugar beet cultivation
The Asociación para la Investigación de la Mejora de la Cultivo de la Remolacha Azucarera, AIMCRA, was founded in 1966 in Aula Dei (Zaragoza), at the initiative of the sugar industry. It is a private, non-profit, non-commercial entity. Since 1980 AIMCRA has been an interprofessional association, in whose governing bodies and financing the sugar beet growers and the sugar industry participate in equal parts: 50% beet growers, 50% sugar industry.
