Nature and the passion for making great wines

The people of the village of Fuenmayor, in the Rioja Alta, have always been aware of the unique quality of the “El Montecillo” vineyard. It is the beautiful spot that many years ago gave its name to our winery and which today symbolizes a vocation and a character: the vineyard is the origin and the foundation of what we are. The tenacious and grateful nature, which reaches its maximum expression thanks to a deep experience of aging in barrel and bottle. All this is in the genes of the third oldest winery in Rioja: Bodegas Montecillo.
