The published thesis about different winegrowing techniques to mitigate the effects of the climate warming on the vine has allowed its author, the Chinese Wei Zheng, to obtain the PhD degree from the University of La Rioja. The three main techniques about vegetation management analysed by Zheng have been the severe clipping of vine shoots after curdled, the minimum pruning and the late pruning.
